Welcome to The Bright Hope Initiative, Inc.
We are a Marion & Polk County Oregon coalition of compassionate and motivated individuals, churches, businesses and non profit organizations.
It is our vision, our hope and our prayer that we can learn to walk with the poor and homeless in our community and together develop a sustainable way to achieve "inside-out" change and transformation in their lives.
Our new community outreach programs and homeless initiatives are designed to extend tangible kindness and the love of God to the marginal and often "hidden" poor in our communities. We strive to have a special focus on developing creative transitional housing and resources for families, single parents and others in need.
We believe in kindness with no strings attached.
We do not require that a person belong to any particular religious affiliation or financially support our organization in any way. We are everyday business people, teachers, company CEO's, Pastors and working people that have experienced the stunning grace and compassion of God in our own lives. It is an incredible privilege for us, in some small way, to be able to move outside our own comfort zone and "pay forward" the blessings of God in our lives.

THE FACES OF THE HOMELESS IN OUR COMMUNITY ARE CHANGING - THERE ARE MORE FAMILIES, MORE SINGLE MOMS AND MORE OF THE WORKING POOR WHO ARE SHOCKED TO FIND THEMSELVES "HOMELESS".
& THE VILLAGE OF HOPE
We are moving forward with our 2010 Initiative to develop warm, comfortable and attractive cottage housing for homeless families and singles here in Marion & Polk Counties. We are always looking for passionate volunteers that can represent the miracle of ordinary people doing extraordinary things in the lives of others. If we have learned anything, it is that it doesn't take heroes to accomplish heroic things in the lives of a struggling person or family. You too may discover that in volunteering with the homeless, the oppressed and the hurting, you will receive far more than you can ever give. Sometimes we feel guilty because it is so fulfilling - But it is actually a great feeling !
